JANISH Home’s founder, Peder Ø. Nielsen began his journey in Denmark, where his passion for design led him to the heart of the Danish furniture industry. There he honed his skills in Scandinavian design principles.
However, life had more adventures in store for him, and taking a bold step, he moved across continents to the United States, where he got to work with professionals in the industry and enhance his skills in design.
Moving to different countries, and meeting designers from every background, his journey eventually led him to the landscapes of Indonesia, where he found himself captivated by the region’s rich cultural heritage and craftmanship.
With over 40 years of experience, he continues to discover ways to design furniture that bring joy to customers around the world.
With nothing more than determination, passion, and a shared dream, we began our humble journey over 25 years ago. Starting from scratch, we ventured into exporting Indonesian furniture and accessories around the globe. This endeavor not only allowed us to share the beauty of Indonesian craftmanship with the world but also laid the foundation for our future projects.
As the years went by, our business flourished. Driven by an unwavering commitment to quality and desire to innovate, we expanded our vision. We transitioned from only exporting to design and manufacturing our own furniture pieces. It was during this phase that JANISH Home was born.
Drawing inspiration from Peder’s Danish roots and the intricate artistry of Indonesian Craftmanship, the brand emerged as a fusion of cultures, blending Scandinavian minimalism with Indonesian warmth.
We strive to design products, crafted from the finest materials to be cherished for years to come.
